This meeting took place on 25 February 2015. Read the transcript here.
How will Transport for London (TfL) Commissioner, Sir Peter Hendy, react to the London Assembly Transport Committee’s report into the Taxi and Private Hire industries – ‘Future Proof’? Does he accept TfL’s performance as regulator and enforcer has been lacking? What are his views on some of the key issues in the report? Will he; • Agree to strengthen enforcement and clamp down on touting? • Protect passengers by improving signage and safety measures? • Develop a strategy for the future of taxi and private hire services in London? • Seek an end to damaging disputes with the taxi and private hire trades? The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 25 February from 10am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1). Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
