Statement from the Mayor on Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe

Created on
15 March 2022

Here is a statement from The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, in response to Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe having her passport returned.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “Whilst it's positive news that Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has finally been given her British passport back - she must now be reunited with her family in the UK as soon as possible. Nazanin has suffered terribly over the last six years after being wrongly imprisoned in Iran, and London continues to stand with her as we all fervently hope for her return to our city.”
