These figures will be published daily. They include confirmed hospital deaths reported at 5pm the previous day. Due to the reporting time, the figures may not include all deaths for that day and the deaths may have occurred prior to this 24-hour period. From Tuesday 28 April, they will include patient deaths where there hasn’t been a positive test result, but COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death, dated back to Friday 24 April. These figures do not include deaths related to COVID-19 outside of hospitals in the community.
