The London Fire Brigade (LFB) is undergoing a huge transformation programme and is having to draw down on its reserves to pay for this. It is behind on a number of key tasks, notably the Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), which should replace the London Safety Plan.
At last week’s Fire Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee, the Committee signed off on extending the London Safety Plan for a further year but said the Brigade needs to progress the CRMP and deliver it within a year.
Tomorrow, at a Plenary meeting of the London Assembly, Members will put questions to the Deputy Mayor for Fire and Resilience and the London Fire Commissioner on key fire, resilience and emergency planning issues and arrangements in London.
The guests are:
- Andy Roe, London Fire Commissioner
- Dr Fiona Twycross, Deputy Mayor for Fire and Resilience
The meeting will take place on Thursday, 10 February 2022 from 10:00am in The Chamber, at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way.
Following the discussion, London Assembly Members will debate these motions.
Media and members of the public are invited to attend – however numbers may be limited.
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE or later via webcast or YouTube.
