Transport
Created on
27 May 2020

Following the announcement of Andy Byford as the new Transport Commissioner, Dr Alison Moore AM, Chair of the London Assembly Transport Committee said:

“The Transport Committee warmly welcomes Andy Byford, as London’s new Transport Commissioner.

“The new Commissioner is taking up the role at a critical time for Transport for London, and for Londoners, as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis and recovery from it. The Commissioner has an incredibly important job in making sure the transport system continues to serve the city in a way that is safe and sustainable for all Londoners, as we emerge from the crisis and beyond.

“We look forward to working with the new Commissioner and to hearing from him in future Assembly meetings.

“We also thank Mike Brown MVO for his many years of service and wish him the very best in his new role overseeing the renovation of the Houses of Parliament.”
