Mayor of London to face London Assembly Questioning at MQT

Mayor’s Question Time (MQT) kicks off at 10:00am tomorrow.



The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, will face questions from London Assembly Members on issues that matter to Londoners.



Topics include:

  • Transport for London: Extraordinary Funding and Financing Agreement
  • Police Officer Safety
  • Safeguarding the interests of disabled people
  • London Demonstrations

The London Assembly acts as a check and balance on the activities of the Mayor and, in light of COVID-19 and its impacts on London, this role is more important than ever.



The meeting will take place on Thursday, 15 October from 10:00am.



This meeting will take place in a hybrid format, with some Members participating virtually and some participating in person, in accordance with Government advice and requirements on social distancing.

  1. The London Assembly is part of the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Assembly Members are elected every four years, at the same time as the Mayor. There are 25 London Assembly Members - twelve Labour, eight GLA Conservatives, two City Hall Greens, two Brexit Alliance Group and one Liberal Democrat Member.
  2. Questions from Assembly Members that are not answered at the meeting are given written answers which are published on the GLA’s website within a week of the meeting.
