Getting young Londoners engaged and involved in the running of their city is an important objective for the London Assembly.
London Youth Assembly (LYA) Members are aged between 11 to 19 and enthusiastic about bringing issues that matter to them to the forefront of local politics. Members come from youth councils and forums from every London borough.
Tomorrow’s LYA meeting will focus on pan-London work relating to the young Londoners’ two main priorities:
- Violence and Safety
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
There will also be a question and answer session with guest:
- Martin Hewitt, Chair of the National Police Chiefs’ Council
A new Chair will be announced at the meeting.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, 30 May at 2:30pm in The Chamber (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
Media and members of the public are invited to attend
