In response to the Mayor’s announcement that Wembley Park will be the official global destination for International Busking Day 2018, local London Assembly Member, Navin Shah AM, said:

“Busking and street performance are intrinsic facets of the rich cultural identity of our city, so it is fantastic news that Wembley has been chosen to lead this year’s celebrations taking place across the world.

“After having been named the London Borough of Culture for 2020, this provides further proof of Brent’s track record as a remarkably diverse, and leading, destination when it comes to culture, arts and innovation.

“International Busking Day marks just the start of an exciting programme of events taking place at Wembley Park this summer, providing an unmissable opportunity for members of the local community to get involved”.
