Mayoral advisors to be questioned by Assembly

What are the roles and responsibilities of the Mayor’s Chief and Deputy Chief of Staff?

How do their positions determine and influence agenda setting, policy and strategy?

Tomorrow, the GLA Oversight Committee will investigate the historic and future working relationship between the Mayor, Mayor’s team and London Assembly, with a view to improving accountability, communication and transparency. Members will question:

  • What each role will deliver for the GLA
  • How the relationship with the Assembly can be improved
  • How performance will be monitored and reported

The guests are:

  • David Bellamy, Mayor’s Chief of Staff, GLA
  • Richard Watts, Mayor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, GLA

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 22 July 2021 from 10am, in the Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend – numbers may be limited.
