London Assembly to hold its Annual Meeting

The London Assembly will hold its Annual Meeting tomorrow. Following the election last Thursday, 6 May 2021, this is the first meeting of the new Assembly term.

During the meeting tomorrow, the London Assembly will elect a new Chair and Deputy Chair of the Assembly.

Assembly Members will also agree the establishment and membership of a range of Committees, to lead investigations into issues ranging from policing to public transport to the Mayor’s Budget.

The meeting will take place on Friday, 14 May 2021 at 10 AM. Media and members of the public can watch the meeting live here.

  2. The London Assembly is made up of 25 politicians from four political parties; 11 Labour AMs, 9 Conservative AMs, 3 Green AMs and 2 Liberal Democrat AMs. 
  3. As well as investigating issues that matter to Londoners, the London Assembly acts as a check and a balance on the Mayor.
