06 December 2019

Responding to the news that current London Fire Commissioner, Dany Cotton, is to retire on 31 December 2019, Chair of the Fire, Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee, Andrew Dismore AM, said:

“We wish Dany all the best for the future.

“The role of the Assembly is to hold the London Fire Brigade (LFB) to account and while today is a day to thank Dany for all her hard work, we do still have questions that need to be answered. The Fire Committee will be meeting in the near future to ensure that the LFB is addressing the issues raised in the most recent Grenfell inquiry report.”
