The new London Plan has been formally adopted today, four years after its inception. It deals with issues such as housing, the environment and the green belt. Andrew Boff AM, Chair of the London Assembly Planning and Regeneration Committee, said:
“The new London Plan is the most important strategic planning document for London and the Planning and Regeneration Committee has pushed the Mayor of London to get things right for the sake of Londoners and London as a whole.
"The Planning and Regeneration Committee has given its feedback and concerns on the London Plan from the very start of the process, on issues such as family homes, density, small sites and tall buildings. We are pleased that some of these issues were addressed during the London Plan process, whilst others are yet to be resolved.
“We look forward to seeing how this new London Plan works in practice for Londoners, including families, local communities and local businesses.”
