News from John Biggs (past staff): Good news about Olympic ticketing

Created on
17 January 2012

LOCOG have today confirmed that members of the public who wish to sell their London 2012 tickets can now do so, following the suspension of the ticketing website due to technical problems.

Local London Assembly member, John Biggs said: “This has been a bit of a PR disaster for LOCOG and I have asked them to provide the details of what went wrong.

“However, the purpose of this re-sale system is designed to prevent ticket touting, which I think we are all against. We want the money made from this Olympics to go towards developing grassroots sport and not into the pocket of a ticket tout.

“LOCOG need to do better, but they are acting for the right reasons.
