In response to Transport for London’s (TfL) announcement of the launch of a consultation into their proposals to improve safety measures at Balls Pond Road/Kingsland Road junction, local London Assembly Member, Jennette Arnold OBE AM said:
“It is positive that TfL have set out their proposals to improve the safety of this junction for all road users and I would urge as many local people as possible to take part in the consultation.
“This marks a stride forward in the implementation of TfL’s Vision Zero strategy, which aims to eliminate deaths and serious injuries from our capital’s roads.
“Reconfiguring and enhancing this junction will also boost the efforts being taken locally to tackle the scourge of air pollution, by providing easier and more secure access for pedestrians and cyclists.”
