John Biggs and Jennette Arnold welcome Advertising Standards Authority probe into “racist” advertising campaign

John Biggs and Jennette Arnold have welcomed the decision by the Advertising Standards Authority to formally investigate the advertising used to promote Channel 4’s series ‘Big Fat Gypsy Weddings”

In February of this year John and Jennette complained to both Channel 4 and the ASA about the offensive content of the advertisements, but the ASA dismissed their complaints along with at least 370 others.

John Biggs said “This is the right decision and I am sure that the many travellers who live in my constituency will welcome the fact that action is at last being taken."

Jennette Arnold added “I am delighted that the ASA have finally seen the light and I await the outcome of the investigation."
