Commenting on Eid celebrations in Stoke Newington on Saturday 30th June, Local London Assembly Member, Jennette Arnold OBE AM, said:
“This was a fantastic way for our community to come together and celebrate Eid in style. We’re fortunate to live in such a richly diverse community, in which our differences are outnumbered by the values we share.
“I want to give particular thanks to the Musallaa An-Noor mosque for their amazing work in hosting this event. Their efforts to open a dialogue with the community, to increase understanding of the Muslim faith and practices, can only lead to greater cohesion.
“Wishing everyone in our community Eid Mubarak!”
