The London Assembly EU Exit Working Group will tomorrow hold a meeting on the impact of exiting the EU on London’s financial sector. The financial sector contributed £63.8bn to London’s economy in 2017, 15 per cent of London’s total economic output. The meeting will focus on:
- The outlook for London’s financial services sector retaining its global status following the UK’s exit from the EU,
- The arrangements that different types of firms in the financial services sector would prefer for a future relationship with the EU.
