How is the Met responding to COVID-19?

Tomorrow, the Met Commissioner, Dame Cressida Dick DBE QPM, will appear before London Assembly Police & Crime Committee to answer questions on how the Met is responding to COVID-19.

Other topics to be discussed include:

  • Drug supply during the crisis

  • Domestic and child abuse

  • Stop and search

  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)/custody suites/bail conditions

  • Met police resources and staffing and collaboration with other public services

The guests are:

  • Dame Cressida Dick DBE QPM, Commissioner, Metropolitan Police Service

  • Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, MOPAC

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 3 June 2020 from 11.00am. In line with government advice, this meeting will take place virtually.
