In response to the announcement that Bexley Council has been awarded £1,600,000 as part of the Mayor’s Good Growth Fund for the regeneration of Erith Town Centre, Londonwide Assembly Member, Fiona Twycross AM, said:
“We’ve had almost a decade of austerity and are at serious risk of seeing poverty and inequality becoming progressively normalised in our society.
“So, it is very positive to see City Hall stepping in where the Government have failed and properly investing in our community through the Mayor’s Good Growth Fund.
“It is great that Bexley Council have received this significant funding boost, and the regeneration of Erith Town Centre will make a real difference to the lives of local people”.
