Supporting London's ambulance service

The Health Committee releases its report Supporting London’s ambulance service’. The report recommendations include a call to the Mayor to encourage the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to have a more diverse workforce and work with diverse communities, that London boroughs should work with the LAS to identify community safety needs and that the Mayor should explore ways on how Team London can work in partnership with the LAS to recruit 100,000 volunteers by 2023.

Assembly Members will put questions to Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London. Topics to be discussed include:

  • Taxi restrictions at key junctions and roads
  • Local Government funding, police and fire finance settlement impacts
  • Tripling protected cycle lanes by 2020
  • Tackling county lines

Crossrail delay summons

Transport Committee – 10.00am in The Chamber

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, as Chairman of Transport for London (TfL) has been summonsed to appear before the Transport Committee to answer questions on what he knew and when regarding the launch delay of Crossrail. Briefing documents on Crossrail have also been summonsed. The Commissioner of TfL, Mike Brown, has also been summonsed and will appear before the Committee.
