There were 50 flood incidents in early 2021 and by 17 August 2021, London had received 117% of its usual rainfall. The Environment Committee will examine severe weather events in London and the Mayor’s initiatives for reducing the long-term impact from climate change. The guests are:

Vision Zero

The Mayor’s 2018 Transport Strategy set out a commitment to adopt Vision Zero for road danger in London. The aim of Vision Zero is the elimination of all deaths and serious injuries on London’s transport system. The Transport Committee guests are:

Q&A with the Met and MOPAC

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is required to send its draft Police and Crime Plan to the Police and Crime Committee. The Committee is required by statute to review the draft Plan and make a report or recommendations on the Plan to MOPAC. MOPAC must “have regard to any report or recommendations made by the [Committee] in relation to the draft Plan.”
