Q&A with MOPAC and Met Police

Police & Crime Committee – 2pm

The Metropolitan Police has previously faced criticism over the force’s policing of demonstrations, including a vigil held for Sarah Everard in March this year.

Members of the London Assembly will question the Metropolitan Police and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime on whether policing of recent protests has been proportionate and what evidence they have to support this.

The Police and Crime Committee will also discuss topics such as fraud, the court backlog and child protection.

The guests are:

  • Sir Stephen House QPM, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police
  • Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime
