COVID-19 & home working: personal responsibility vs state intervention?
Expert panel - 4:30pm – 5:45pm
The London Assembly is holding a free event on COVID-19 & home working; personal responsibility vs state intervention? With no end in sight to working from home, is there a case to be made for greater intrusion by our employers? We will be joined by an excellent panel to discuss the impact working from home has had on employees’ mental and physical well-being as well as the unusual position this has created for employers. Should the role of the employer stop at the front door? If an employee gets injured at home in working hours should they be able to sue their employer? If not, where is the line drawn? The guests are:
- Navin Shah AM, Chair of the London Assembly
- Andrew Boff AM, Londonwide Assembly Member, Conservatives
- Dave Hill, Editor of OnLondon
- Mary Towers, Policy Officer at Trades Union Congress
