COVID-19: Experiences of BAME Londoners and the effect of lockdown on Londoners
Health Committee – 10:00am
In the first part of the meeting, the Health Committee will discuss the experiences of BAME Londoners during the COVID-19 pandemic. The panel of guests are:
- Dr Somen Banerjee, Director of Public Health, London Borough of Tower Hamlets
- Professor Gurch Randhawa, Professor of Diversity in Public Health & Director of the Institute for Health Research, University of Bedfordshire
In the second part of the meeting, the Committee will discuss the effect of lockdown on Londoners’ mental health. The panel of guests are:
- Vicki Nash, Head of Policy and Campaigns, Mind
- Lynette Charles, Chief Executive Officer, Mind in Haringey
- Nikki Morris, Chief Executive Officer, Age UK Camden
- Sarah MacFadyen, Head of Policy and External Affairs, British Lung Foundation and Asthma UK
