Labour London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden Andrew Dismore has welcomed a decision by TfL to fund new electric vehicle charging points in London. £300,000 has been allocated to both Barnet and Camden.

Mr Dismore said:

‘I welcome the news that TfL will fund the instalment of new electric vehicle charging points in Barnet and Camden. If we are going to tackle climate change and the illegally toxic air quality in London, we need to promote less polluting transport. I am pleased that the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan is putting his money where his mouth is.

‘100 extra charging points in each borough will make electric cars vastly more convenient for local residents to keep. Their running costs are also often lower, so this is a measure that will save money for families in the long term as well.’
