Petition for Transport For London to slow traffic on Finborough Road

Key information

Petition presented by: The Lord Bailey of Paddington Assembly Member

Date petition submitted: Thursday 5 March 2026

Petition presented at: London Assembly Plenary

Summary of petition

We call on Transport For London and Sadiq Khan to SLOW THE TRAFFIC on Finborough Road to prevent accidents and keep children and other pedestrians safe. We would like speed-calming measures at crossings; urgent pavement repairs, and a safe pedestrian crossing on Old Brompton Road next to Finborough Road. Finborough Road has been consistently overlooked under Transport For London's management, despite repeated appeals from residents and local councillors. It's time to bring an end to this neglect. This petition forms part of a wider campaign led by the Redcliffe Conservative Association to ensure Transport For London delivers fair investment, improved safety and proper care for Redcliffe, just as it does for other parts of London. We urge Transport For London to act now - for the safety, dignity and quality of life for everyone who calls Redcliffe home.
