Will the Mayor of London speak with the Metropolitan Police Commissioner asking for more sympathetic behaviour by his police force at events, like the recent 'Human Rights Torch' event attended by Lord Avebury, Robert Evans MEP, Edward McMillan-Scott MEP and myself protesting against lack of Human Rights in China in the build up to the Beijing Olympics and will he ensue that in similar demonstrations the Metropolitan Police do not behave in a similar way to that of the Beijing Police?

Traffic lights at the junction of Wickham Rd, Orchard Ave/Hartland Way

A number of my constituents have raised grave concerns in relation to the traffic lights installed earlier on this year at the junction of Wickham Road/Orchard Avenue/Hartland Way by Shirley Library. My constituents do not understand why the positioning of the lights, when coming from West Wickham and turning right into Orchard Avenue, has been changed. Serious concerns over safety have been raised as, when cars advance forward and are waiting to turn right, drivers are unable to see any traffic lights (as there are now no backing lights in place). London Deficit

The City of London London/Oxford Economics report (London's Place in the UK Economy 2007-08) calculates the London Deficit to be in the range £7-£17.8 billion. Does the Mayor think it is now time to reassess the calculation of £1-£7 billion made by GLA Economics in 2005 or does he believe that figure remains accurate today?

Cost of repairs to City Hall

It is accepted that one of the main reasons for the failure of the Millennium Dome as a visitor attraction was its car exclusion zone. How would the Olympics succeed in making such an exclusion zone work, when the Dome - with better public transport facilities - failed?
