  • Reference: 2011/0915
  • Question by: Mike Tuffrey
  • Meeting date: 23 March 2011
Having already contributed £250,000 to the England 2018 World cup bid (MD622), this February (MD750) you approved a further £145,000 of funding, from the GLA contingency budget, for the failed England 2018 World Cup Bid. Having signed a funding agreement with England 2018 for the original £250,000 contribution from London why was it later found not to be sufficient and what factors led you to approve a further £145,000 of funding?
