Further to the European Commission granting a time extension for Greater London to meet the EU limit values for PM10, (i) what short-term measures does your final Air Quality Strategy include; and (ii) what 'short-term measures' to 'control, or, where necessary, suspend activities which contribute to the risk of the limit values being exceeded' are you going to put in place by 11 June 2011 to ensure that the PM10 daily limit value is not exceeded after the exemption period?

Concerns have been expressed about the potential impact of your CIL charges on the ability of London boroughs to raise funds for local infrastructure. When setting your CIL rates will you work alongside boroughs to take account of the full range of costs associated with development including existing borough S106 requirements and locally set CIL rates?

Your Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule for a CIL anticipates that the proposed rates of CIL will achieve the target of raising £300m for Crossrail by 2019. Will you consider charging lower rates of CIL, over a longer period, and so have less impact on the economic viability of development in London?
