Jubilee Line Compensation to CWG

Your previous Mayoral Answers and the schedules of payments referred to suggest that compensation payments to Canary Wharf Group for non-performance of the Jubilee Line, up to April this year, have amounted to at least £21,458,672. Do you recognise this figure and, given that payments appear to be clocking in at £1.684million a month, can you give an indication of when you anticipate they will cease, and what obstacles still exist to require continuing payments?

Constituents in Islington have expressed concern that the proposals for 20mph limits in London Borough of Islington will be frustrated if the phase timings of traffic signals at interchanges between red routes and council roads are not changed. Where the sequencing of lights has been set up to facilitate 30mph operation drivers will be encouraged to speed up to 30mph and not drive in a more relaxed, 'smoother' way at 20mph.
