Tulse Hill Gyratory

  • Reference: 2012/3228
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 17 October 2012
Tulse Hill Gyratory is in need of review, though does not seem to be included in TfL's junction review scheme. Local councillors are concerned that the high speeds at this location are a deterrent to walking and cycling. Are you happy that this gyratory is as safe as it can possibly be? Will you ask TfL to review the situation please?

  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 17 October 2012
In early October, a five year old boy was tragically knocked down and killed by a HGV in St George's Road in the vicinity of Elephant and Castle. Please set out the latest position with regards to safety reviews at the Elephant and any actions planned by TfL to improve safety.

Gipsy Hill PTAL

  • Reference: 2012/3225
  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 17 October 2012
The Gipsy Hill Residents' Association have contacted me to ask for the Gipsy Hill PTAL to be reviewed by TfL. The residents feel that the current (high) PTAL does not take into account the topography of the area and the relatively limited rail services and lack of tram services. Please could you ask officers to look into this as the association feels that the high score is impacting negatively on new developments and parking in the area.

  • Meeting date: 17 October 2012
Please list all police stations which run operational services in Lambeth and Southwark and provide clarification of what is proposed for their future operation, including if services are to be relocated, and if so, to where.

I welcome the refurbishment of the Victorian ticket hall at Crystal Palace and am very impressed with the work that has been done there. We still await the new lifts however. Can you confirm that these are still on schedule to be up and running 'early in 2013' as described in TfL's literature?

  • Meeting date: 17 October 2012
The broadband market appears to be highly concentrated, with BT supplying more than six times the volumes of the second largest provider. Does the Mayor think that BT will derive an unfair advantage over competitors as a result of the Connect City Plan?
