Can the Mayor explain the driver change over practice on the No73 in which my constituents are left waiting on stationary buses while drivers swap over half way through the route? When questioned the operator responded by saying that this is for the convenience of the drivers who live closer to the mid route swap over points than the terminus. Will the Mayor put a stop to this practice which is a serious inconvenience to commuters in North-East London?

I have been contacted by a college student who is very concerned about rising travel costs and the problems this is causing him. Although he has a free bus pass he does also need to use the DLR and Underground for college trips and meetings. He feels that the fare rises are unfair on young people and has not seen improvements which justify fare hikes. Please explain what measures you will take to support my constituent and others like him who find travelling across our capital is fast becoming a luxury he cannot afford.
