Jesse Bryan
About Jesse
Jesse Bryan has been a member of Lynk Up Crew (LUC), a youth forum at City Hall, since he was about 11 years old (Jesse is now 14). The LUC meets for half a day, once a month, and is managed by the Education and Youth Peer Outreach team at City Hall.
They debate issues affecting young people in London. These range from issues in schools and education to dealing with social and economical struggles. The LUC members discuss their hopes and aspirations for the future and for change.
Jesse's achievements
As a result of Jesse's engagement with the LUC, he won the Princess Diana Award in 2016 (signed by former Prime Minister David Cameron). Jesse has been invited to chair youth panels at two children's rights inquiries in parliament (2016 and 2017).
Last September, Jesse was given a full scholarship by a performing arts academy to do dance, ballet, acting and vocal/singing.
This rising star performed in Hillsong Carols 2017 at Wembley Arena and starred in the Carol's promo trailer. He performed at the Hillsong Young and Free Annual European Conference 2017 at the O2 Indigo and at Encounter 2017 at ExCel London.
Jesse has featured in recent music videos including Stormzy's Blinded by Your Grace Part 2 and Guvna B's Been Hustlin. Jesse also featured in Guvna B's collaborative project with London Instagram Discover the New.
Jesse won two Jack Petchy Awards in 2017, one for volunteering and the other for his commitment and achievements as a scout for seven years.
