Summary of request

The London Mayor Sadig Khan
Can I thank you for your update on building Social Housing in London
As you are aware, through my emails to you, of my interest in what I call Council and you refer to it as Social Housing.

Is it possible to inform us on the total number that have:-
1. been built as to date

2. What was the cost to the GLA
3. In what borough they have been built in
4. Who were they offered to eg
- to those on the Boroughs waiting lists
- homeless
- those sleeping rough
- new arrivals
- young people eg 18 to 25; 25 to 35
- single people eg male; female;
- those with special needs
- those that have reached an age to downsize for what ever reason
- families looking for larger properties and or first time family homes
5. Who will be tasked to manage these 'social/council homes'
6. Are they of the same standard and within new buildings for sale
7. Are they flats or houses
I have noted that all London Boroughs have waiting lists is it thus possible to release the actual figures of those on the waiting lists eg:-
- that have been on the waiting lists for 5years or more and under 5 years
- single people
- families of two and more in size
- special needs
- those present families living in Social/Council housing who who have children waiting looking to be housed in London into social/council housing.

The GLA should be aware that there are a number of Londoners that have the experience of having / been forced to move away from London and their families because they were placed so low on the Council Waiting Lists with little of no hope of housing and or could not afford to purchase or rent in their home town of London under both Labour and Tory controlled London.
