Revised draft Local Plan: Housing
As part of the regeneration and development of Old Oak and Park Royal, we’re expecting to deliver at least 25,500 new homes. This will enable us to meet a range of local and strategic London-wide housing needs.
You said, we did
During the previous consultation on the Local Plan in 2016 a number of issues around housing were raised that we’ve addressed:
- We’ve tried to strike a balance between delivering significant amounts of affordable housing and ensuring affordability for local people on average incomes
- We’ve recognised the difficulty of providing much need family homes at high density and set a target that 25 per cent of all units as family homes (3+ bedrooms)
- We’ve set policy to encourage a more diverse range of housing types, including specialist housing and build to rent, as we want to create a mixed and successful community
