Motion detail

Susan Hall AM moved, and Emma Best AM seconded the following motion:

“This Assembly unequivocally condemns the attempted murder of two Jewish Londoners in Golders Green on 29th April, along with all acts of antisemitism, hatred, intimidation, and violence directed at Jewish Londoners.

This Assembly believes that every Londoner should be able to live, work, travel, and worship free from fear and abuse.

This Assembly welcomes the swift response of the Metropolitan Police Service and emergency services following the incident in Golders Green, and praises the professionalism and dedication shown by officers in protecting the public and pursuing those responsible.

This Assembly stands in full solidarity with London’s Jewish community and reaffirms that antisemitism has absolutely no place in our city. This Assembly supports continued work between the Mayor, the Metropolitan Police Service, local authorities, and community organisations to tackle hate crime, strengthen community safety, and ensure Jewish Londoners feel safe, supported, and welcome in London.”

Following debate and upon being put to a vote, the motion was agreed unanimously.
