The Mayor sets out his plans to improve transport safety and security in London, and his transport priorities up to 2013.
The Mayor’s strategy to improve transport safety and security in London sets out priorities for improving safety for transport and travelling in London from 2010-13. The plan covers travel on public transport, cycling, road safety and walking.
The Right Direction brings together the work of TfL, MPS, BTP and City of London Police to work together so that Londoners to feel safe for the whole journey; door-to-door.
Priorities are:
- Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour – especially reducing violence
- Increase public confidence – especially on travelling after dark
- Reduce road injuries – drink/drug driving
- Cycling – cycling security and safety
- Increased walking – safety on the whole journey door to door
