Executive summary

England Hockey is currently bidding to bring the 2016 Champions Trophy, 2017 World League and 2018 Women’s World Cup to London. The final bid is to be submitted on August 31st 2013. England Hockey has requested that the GLA makes a financial commitment to these events as part of the bid.

This MD seeks approval to commit £500,000 from the Mayor’s Sports Legacy Programme to these events.

Additionally, this MD seeks approval for the allocation of an additional £100,000 from the GLA Central Programme Budget.
