The London Fire Commissioner (LFC) is a functional body of the Greater London Authority. The LFC runs the London Fire Brigade (LFB), serving as both London’s fire and rescue authority (FRA) and its chief fire officer.

The LFC 2026-27 budget submission to the Mayor, as received by the Budget & Performance Committee, shows:
- The Mayor proposes a total of £557 million funding to the London Fire Commissioner (LFC). The budget submission shows funding is projected to rise to £583 million in 2027-28 and £610 million in 2028-29.
- The LFC’s total expenditure for 2026-27 is projected at £664 million
- A £12 million funding gap for 2026-27 is set out in the submission.
