Letter to Director of Dot Dot Dot re rent increases
Dear Katharine,
Notices to quit, rent rises and new tenancy agreements for guardians
Since March this year I have been regularly contacted by property guardians living in some of the properties Dot Dot Dot manage. They are very concerned about residents being asked to sign new tenancy agreements and, if they refuse to do so, being served with notices to quit.
They are also deeply worried about unaffordable rent rises being imposed. I would like to know whether there has been any increase in the running costs of the properties that you manage. Could you provide details of any changes and, in particular, how they are being shared between the building owners and the guardians?
Finally, could I ask you to follow up on the request from Abbey Wood Guardians to meet with them, so they can discuss their issues and concerns with you face to face?
Yours sincerely,
Sian Berry
