Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) request of 22 December to the Mayor's Office for Policing And Crime (MOPAC). I confirm that your request has been handled under the FOI Act 2000 and that MOPAC does hold some information relating to your request. Please see responses set out below.
In respect of Interview Recording Equipment, both static and mobile can you please supply information on:
1.The technology utilised
The technology used is Axon’s DIR (Digital Interview Recording), SaaS / Fully Managed Service. This is a secure Cloud Hosted suspect and witness interview recording solution providing fixed and mobile interviewing capabilities for the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).
2. Details of current contract(s)

The current contract is for 4 years with two possible 1 year extensions, making a total possible duration of 6 years.
3. Current contract(s) end date
The MPS / Axon DIR contract was signed in December 2021 with the end date being 4 years from that date or up to 6 years from the contract date if both one year extensions are taken up.
