FOI - DVLA ULEZ consultation [Dec 2022]

Key information

Request reference number: MGLA281122-4306

Date of response:

Summary of request

Your request

As part of you extensive research into the effect of vehicles on air quality in greater London, you will have consulted with DVLA to determine the respective quantities of different emission vehicles registered in the proposed new ULEZ area. Please could you share that information with me?

Our response

We can confirm that the GLA does not hold the information you have requested. Transport for London (TfL) implements the Mayor’s Transport Strategy and is the main agency for transport services in London. As such, it was responsible for developing the evidence base and proposals to expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) London-wide and will be responsible for its forthcoming implementation and operation. Estimates of the impact of the London-wide ULEZ on vehicle compliance and emissions are available in the consultation proposals and evidence base, available on TfL’s website: Improving air quality and Londoners' health, tackling climate change and reducing congestion | Have Your Say Transport for London (tfl.gov.uk)
