Facilities in each viewing area

All viewing areas have accessible toilets, first aid and places to buy food and drink. Event staff and stewards will be available to help.

The blue, red, pink, green and white viewing areas:

  • are on closed roads, providing step-free movement suitable for wheelchair users
  • can be crowded, particularly at entrances
  • do not have seating, and you cannot bring your own
  • have music playing through the event sound system and do not have hearing loops
  • may require you to travel up to 2km between the viewing area and public transport
  • do not have dedicated viewing areas or platforms for people with accessibility needs.

The orange viewing area has extra accessibility features, including seating, a hearing loop and access from a vehicle drop-off point.

Areas for people with access needs

The orange viewing area is the accessible viewing area for the event. If you have access needs you should select 'orange' when booking tickets.

This viewing area is suitable for people who want to avoid the more crowded viewing areas or need to access a vehicle drop-off point.

Our accessible viewing area is on the Albert Embankment in front of St Thomas’ Hospital, on the riverside opposite the Houses of Parliament.

Please note this area has a partial side view of the fireworks.

Features in the orange accessible viewing area

The orange viewing area will:

  • be reasonably close to the event vehicle drop off point (around 700m away). This can be reached by roads and pavements with drop curbs suitable for a wheelchair.  However, the drop off point is best used before 8pm when road closures will start to restrict access
  • be 2km from the nearest public transport, for example, Waterloo station
  • not have large crowds
  • have accessible toilets no more than 300m away and a Changing Places toilet unit with a hoist and changing table
  • have a first aid point
  • have some seating, and you can bring your own fold up seating, too
  • have stewards and event staff to answer your questions on the night
  • have a hearing loop.

Transfer or resell your tickets if you can't attend

If you cannot or no longer wish to attend the event, you can resell or transfer your tickets.

Refunds are not available.

Resell your ticket

Resell your ticket at face value through the Ticketmaster Fan-to-Fan Resale platform.

Tickets can only be sold or bought through our official ticket seller, Ticketmaster.

To resell your tickets, simply log into your Ticketmaster MyAccount and click the ‘sell’ button for the ticket(s) you cannot use.

The ticket(s) will then be listed on the booking page for a new customer to buy.

Transfer your ticket

You can give tickets to someone else as a gift. However, you'll need to transfer the name on the ticket from yours to theirs before the event, once you’ve had your ticket purchase confirmation.

Find out more about how to transfer tickets on Ticketmaster.

The people you give them to may be asked to show photo ID on entry, as part of the event’s terms and conditions.

What you need to bring to the event

The main ticket buyer may need to show photo ID that matches the name printed on your group’s tickets to get in. This helps the stewards to check that you bought your tickets legally.

Bring a passport or photo driving license, or a good-quality photocopy of either of these.

If you don’t have either of these, stewards on the entry gates will decide whether to accept your alternative photo ID.

If you bought your ticket with a London resident discount, you may need to show proof of address to stewards to get into the event.

Bringing children

This event is not suitable for young children and we strongly recommend you do not bring them, as this is a late-night and crowded outdoor event. Any under-16s who do attend must be with an adult.

Everyone, whatever their age, must have a ticket to get in.

In London, there are hundreds of other ways to celebrate. Find out what’s on offer and plan your night.

Transport in London on NYE will be much busier than usual and your travel plans may be affected. Plan your journey in advance.

Plan your journey

You won’t be allowed to use Westminster Bridge, the Golden Jubilee Footbridge, Lambeth Bridge, Blackfriars Bridge or Waterloo Bridge before or after the event.

When buying your ticket, think about how you will travel to your preferred viewing area on the night.

You'll see details of each viewing area’s specific numbered gate you should use on the night. These are the only entrances you can use. Stations will be very busy when the event ends. Choose the side of the river you want to be on afterwards to get home more easily.

Remember, central London will be very busy on New Year’s Eve. There will be many changes in how the city and transport runs on the night. Do plan your night and allow plenty of time to get in.

Vehicles will not be allowed in the restricted event or surrounding areas, and must be parked outside the closed areas. This includes buses, coaches, cars, vans, trucks and bikes. All vehicle parking will be suspended within the event area.

In conjunction with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), vehicle access will be restricted from 2:00pm on 31 December until around 6:00am on 1 January. However, contingency plans are in place to permit closures from 12:00pm in the yellow and red areas. See the map for more information.

Some roads in central London will stay closed for the London Parade 2027. Find out more about the London Parade 2027.
