Our response
With regards to the buildings we occupy (City Hall's buildings and squares | London City Hall), the GLA's Facilities Management team has been able to provide you with the following:
- Our lights are primary LED, there are very few areas without the LED lights such as Nelsons Column lighting at Trafalgar Square.
- The price range is between 32p to 56p kilowatt-hour for electricity.
- We do have ground source heat pump in the GLA head office.
- Already in place where possible to install.
In relation to the Greater London Land and Property portfolio (Land and development | London City Hall), no heat pumps or installation of heat pumps have been instructed but have been recommended for one building. Approximately, 80% of our lighting across the GLAP portfolio is LED.
