The NHS have produced a leaflet on handwashing in Easy Read format. Further coronavirus information in Easy Read format is also available from EasyRead.info.

Mencap, a charity for people with a learning disability and their families and carers, have created some guides about coronavirus in Easy Read format for people with a learning disability, their families, support workers and healthcare professionals. Resources include information on what coronavirus is and government guidance.

Action for Happiness are producing action calendars every month which set out daily actions to help us during these challenging times. Click on the current month to access the latest action calendar in over 20 languages.

Psychology Tools has produced a free guide in multiple languages on living with worry and anxiety amidst global uncertainty.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists have translated their mental health information into 24 languages.

IOM COVID-19 Migrant Information Service

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has set up the COVID-19 Migrant Information Service, an online platform that provides multilingual information on COVID-19 measures and support in the UK context. The aim is to provide information to migrants living in the UK about Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the various ways the virus and the associated government responses could affect their lives.

The information service includes:

  • a multilingual website available in eight languages with information on health; and
  • a telephone service providing information to callers in any language from 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00 Monday to Friday: 0800 464 3380.

Homeless health resources

The below includes health information and advice about how to seek different types of healthcare. These resources have been developed in partnership between Healthy London Partnership (HLP), Groundswell, Doctors of the World, Public Health England and Shrine.

Doctors of the World translations of NHS guidance

Doctors of the World, in collaboration with other civil society partners, are translating official government guidance* on COVID-19. The GLA has provided funding to Doctors of the World to sustain their work and to improve the reach of these resources and key messages on COVID-19 to London’s multilingual communities.

Below you will find a direct link to Doctors of the World latest translated resources as well as audio files of the guidance, which can be shared easily with friends and family. The translations are based on the English version found at the top of the table. You can also find useful videos** available in some languages below, as well as on the Doctors of the World website and their YouTube channel.

Additionally, Doctors of the World, in partnership with Thrive LDN and supported by the Mayor of London, has produced wellbeing guidance for migrant communities, which is available in 27 languages. You can find all of the translated documents in the table below as well as on the Doctors of the World website, and you can also visit the Thrive LDN website to find out more about their work.

Please share these resources with your patients, service users and your networks widely so that we reach out to all communities who would like this crucial information in their own language.
