The Mayor also has no power over immigration policy, since this is the responsibility of the UK Home Office.

• Contacting your MP: Your local Member of Parliament (MP) may be able to contact government departments on your behalf and advocate for you. You can find your local MP by entering your postcode. Please note that the Mayor of London cannot fulfil the same role as your local MP.
• Contacting your local authority: Your local authority might be able to assist with matters relating to immigration. You can find the website for your local council by entering your postcode.
