London remains the third largest centre for film production in the world and in 2019 films and TV shot in London generated approximately £7.9bn of inward investment.

Here's our new monthly feature, in partnership with Film London, highlighting some of the TV and film productions currently being shot across the city.

Unforgotten – Series 4

Cold-case murder drama starring Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar.

 

Pennyworth – Series 2

Story set in the Batman universe following the adventures of former soldier Alfred Pennyworth before he became the Wayne family’s loyal butler.

 

Des

True-life drama exploring the arrest and trial of 1980s serial killer Dennis Nilsen, known as 'Des', and how his actions affected the lives of those he came into contact with. For ITV.

 

Finding Alice

Alice is forced to confront her late husband's secrets after he dies in a freak accident. For ITV.

Films in production in London

The Duke

The story of Kempton Bunton, a retired British bus driver who in 1961 stole Goya's portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London. 

 

The Batman

New incarnation of the iconic DC superhero starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman and directed by Matt Reeves. Batman will face off against a rogues’ gallery of villains including Catwoman, The Riddler and The Penguin.

 

Operation Mincemeat is still on going Film production filming in London from January 2020.
