Carbon Offset Funds Report 2024

Each year, the GLA surveys London’s 34 Local Planning Authorities (the 32 boroughs, the City of London Corporation, and Old Oak & Park Royal Development Corporation, and the London Legacy Development Corporation until 2023) on their carbon offset funds. 

The 2024 report summarises the responses, including the value of funds, expenditure, the types of projects being selected for funding, the governance and monitoring arrangements that are in place and concludes with recommendations for local planning authorities.

Compared with 2024, the survey shows local planning authorities are increasing spend compared with 2023 and delivering meaningful carbon reduction and community projects.
