Contracts and grants
The Greater London Authority (GLA) purchases goods and services to help deliver the Mayor's priorities and to run City Hall. Transport for London (TfL) manages how these goods and services are procured.
We also provide funding through grants to voluntary and community organisations. On this page you’ll find details of which organisations have received grants and the amounts we provided.
Becoming a supplier
You can find information on supplying and contracting over at the TfL website.
Terms and conditions for our purchase of supplies, services and/or works may vary from case to case. However, our standard Purchase Order Conditions of Contract will apply unless a contract has been agreed and signed separately.
Useful websites for suppliers
We use a number of websites to advertise contracts in line with our standard procurement procedures. These sites, which are also used by TfL and other public sector organisations, include:
- www.gov.uk/contracts-finder - the national lower-value contract opportunity portal run by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).
- www.competefor.com - a free service that enables businesses to compete for contracts linked to major public and private sector buying organisations. This site was used successfully for the London 2012 Games.
- www.ted.europa.eu - TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) is the online version of the 'Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union', dedicated to European public procurement. TED provides free access to business opportunities across the European Union, the European Economic Area and beyond.
Receiving grant funding from the GLA
We do not have a central, annual grants funding process. Instead, all of our grants relate to particular projects and Mayoral priorities.
A list of grant funding opportunities are available in the Funding section of our website.
Transparency
As part of our commitment to be transparent about how we spend public money and award commercial contracts, we publish:
- our invitations to tender
- a register of our contracts
- contracts themselves, via the government's Contracts Finder website
- a Modern Slavery Statement (updated annually), setting out the steps we and our subsidiary companies (Greater London Authority Holdings Limited and GLA Land and Property Limited) have and are taking to address the risks of slavery and human trafficking taking place in any of our supply chains.
