OPDC invites local community to Park Royal Food Festival

Wednesday 28 June 2023

The Mayor of London’s development corporation for Old Oak and Park Royal, OPDC is excited to announce the first Park Royal Food Festival.

Held in partnership with Segro, City Harvest London and Loom Projects on Saturday 1 July, this one-day event will bring together an array of local food businesses to celebrate the vibrant food and culture of Park Royal.

The festival will celebrate and showcase the diverse communities and food businesses that make Park Royal, one of London’s largest industrial and manufacturing hubs, with the area home to more food businesses per square km than anywhere else in the capital.

With an exciting programme, events running throughout the day include gastronomic walking tours, talks, tastings and free food sampling, film screenings, cooking demonstrations, storytelling, and music. View the full programme of events.

The festival will carry on into the evening with Park Royal nights, an evening of live music, stories and food hosted by Hikayetna.

OPDC invites everyone from the local community to come along and find out more about the fantastic array of food businesses that operate in Park Royal.

Park Royal is home to some of London’s most exciting and diverse food businesses and this festival will showcase the very best that the area has to offer. There is so much to discover, and the festival offers the perfect opportunity to see behind the scenes of some of the area’s businesses including McVities and Doughlicious.
Whether you’re a frequent visitor to the area or exploring it for the first time – there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The OPDC team is looking forward to seeing you there!
David Lunts, OPDC CEO
Park Royal has long been known as ‘London’s Kitchen’ as its manufacturers feed one third of Londoners on a daily basis. The Food Festival is a great opportunity for
businesses and local residents to come together, connect, share ideas and sample a diverse and wonderful array of different culinary delights. Whether it’s street food, traditional pub fare, Asian cuisine, ready meals, Lebanese specialities or breads and
pastries, Park Royal really has something for everyone. The food sector is a vital and vibrant part of Park Royal and we are so delighted to welcome this festival for the
first time.
